Easel Cards

I have got into making Easel Cards. I am not sure if it because you dont have to make a insert or not. But I find them easy to do. I had some images of ladies from when I first started card making so I made some backing papers and put them together. The fushia is one of my favourite flowers

Friends from England

This turned out to be a very interesting day walking with our friends. We found round walk which we decided would be a good day out. We put our food and drink in one car and set out on our walk. The walk was past the Lakes at Erjos and along a ridge and back down to the lakes and home. Not to be. The map was useless and we ended up walking over the ridge instead of along the ridge. 5 hours later we were sitting in one of our favorite restaurants in the mountain.

Well we at a wonderful dinner and got a local guy to taxi us back home. Then we got our car out of the garage and headed back up the mountain to pick up the other car. A day we will all remember. It was a fantastic walk.

Ladies Quilling Craft Day

This is the 11th February and I had a demonstration day at the All Saints Church in Puerto del a Cruz. The ladies love making cards. So I go along with all the stash I demonstrate an element of card making and then they make a card and take it home. We try and do this once every 4-6 weeks. Not so much during the summer as alot of the ladies go home to England and visit family and friends.

Valentine heart and Rose

Valentine day in mind I made a few cards. The papers were freebies. The Spanish do not celebrate Valentines Day as much as we do. 2 German cards and 1 Spanish

Stamp images

This is now February and I was sent some stamped images from Ka za of Craftycardscrappers.
Lovely friendly crafting site. I have not done alot of stamping. Living in Tenerife stamps are a rare thing so I have to have them sent out from England. Well this is my efforts with the images. I have some lace templates so I decorated the edge of the card and added a ribbon to make it more interesting

Day out with friends

My dear friend in Puerta del a Cruz had her sister come visit the Island so I took them out for the day and my other half bless him did all the driving. We went for coffee at a restaurant we call the nets and a ride around our local area. The decorated balcony is due to lots of fiesta's in Janusry and February.

Baby Cards

I bought the baby carriage graphics from Scrapbookingmad and made my own sidestep cards for the carboot. It was one of the first things I designed from other peoples work. The baby boot is an Irisfolding design I produced myself. It all came from an idea I had to do a Christmas stocking.

Stuarts Birthday Card

Stuarts 70th Birthday card is made from his Stingray Car. A friend who comes over to holiday in her villa at the back of me came over with her sister. They know my passion for card making so they came and asked if I could make the card for a friends birthday. This is what I did. I just love the side step cards so versetile

Getting ready for the carboot in Puerta del a Cruz

These are some of the cards I made for the carboot in late January. As you will see I have designed my own and used loads of my dear friend Penny Wessenauer. Penny is a great inspiration to me, I just love her work. Such a talented lady. I make about 50 cards every time I do a carboot sometimes more.

My day out at Taganana

I stayed with a friend over night and then we travelled to Taganana for a day out painting.
This is what I was trying to paint. The painting is not finished yet but who knows it may get finished one day. Whilst I was sitting painting a baby lizard decided to pop out and say hello.
It was a fabulous day out, also very tiring
This is my Daughter and Partner Dinning at our favorite restaurant in Tenerife.
We had a wonderful 6 days with them. She flew out to celebrate my 60th birthday early and Mothers day which was wonderful. I was showered with gifts and love. She has introduced me to ProMarkers for which I shall always be greatful.
This is my first attempt with Aqua ProMarkers I am extremely happy with the way they work and I am looking to add more colours to my collection. I used the Martha Stewart punch on the edges of the backing card and the paisley cuttlebug folder for the card itself, the cut out shapes are from a set of Sizzex I bought from a sale of craft stuff which I am very pleased with.

Aqua Promarkers

This is my first challenge card for promarkers. I used some stashed backing papers and a cuttlebug paisley embossed card. The stamp was bought from Docrafts. The colouring is done with Aqua Promarker and the paper used to stamp on is 300grm watercolour textured paper.

I have been a bit busy

I have been busy trying to find the time to do everything I would like to do. Firstly my painting, then my cardmaking, never quite know which one to do first. then I love knitting, walking, swimming, reading, blogging, cooking. Now I have added a new one. I went star gazing on Saturday Evening and saw Mars and Jupiter for the first time, also an awful lot of stars. It was amazing. I am off to the Science Museum tomorrow for a follow up on star gazing. There is a special exhibition on and it only lasts to the end of January. I am sorry I have not had the time to be a better blogger but I will try harder.
